Introducing Rail Deck
More time enjoying your railway, less time working out the controls. Meet Rail Deck, and the idea behind an easier way to run the trains you love.

Less to learn, more to enjoy
Perhaps you’re planning your first layout. Perhaps you’ve been running trains for years and would love the controls to feel a little simpler. Either way, we want Rail Deck to help you spend more time enjoying your railway.
We’re building Rail Deck to make model railway control easier to pick up, more welcoming and more affordable. The idea is to bring your trains, points and signals together on your phone, tablet or computer, with the controls you need close at hand.
Your trains, your way
Start with a favourite locomotive. Add a few coaches or wagons, arrange them how you like and give your train a name. Save it, and it’s there when you fancy another run.
Choose saved driving and brake profiles to suit each train. Take your time with a long freight, enjoy a little shunting or put together the passenger service you’ve always wanted to run.
Start small. Add more when you’re ready.
One layout and one locomotive are enough to begin. Get comfortable with your train, then add points, signals and named routes as you go. Whether you run at home, with a club or at an exhibition, you can build up at your own pace.
Where we are now
We’re getting Rail Deck ready for an invitation-only Alpha, an early version for invited users. It isn’t open for general registration or purchase yet, and there’s no public waiting list.
DCC-EX EX-CommandStation is our first planned command-station integration. It isn’t ready for use with physical Rail Deck bridge hardware yet. Have a look at How it works, then check Compatibility and Availability before choosing equipment or making plans.
